Realmente, el mundo de las compilaciones internacionales que se desarrolló durante la década de los 80 fue un verdadero pozo sin fondo, un inabarcable camino de artistas, sellos y colaboraciones que poblaron el planeta de sonido electrónico experimental de una forma tan subterránea que, incluso los más metidos en el tema nos acabamos sorprendiendo de su magnitud.

El otro lado del charco, concretamente los USA fue un foco muy luminoso en lo que a sellos dedicados a la expansión del sonido electrónico se refiere, de hecho en estos últimos años hemos hecho muchas visitas al país de las barras y las estrellas para dar cuenta de lo que ocurría en los años esplendorosos del medio musical electrónico en su faceta más experimental. Pero siempre aparece alguien con alguna cassette que te hace darte cuenta de aquello que dijo Sócrates de "sólo sé que no sé nada". Pues bien, anoche una querida amiga que nos ayuda siempre que puede a compartir materiales complicados, se comunica conmigo para pasarme la digitalización de la compilación DISCORDIA / CONCORDIA del sello estadounidense del mismo nombre.

DISCORDIA / CONCORDIA fue un sello de cassettes dirigido por el artista visual ARTHUR POTTER que solo publicó dos lanzamientos. Uno incluía el proyecto paralelo de Merzbow, SCUM, y el otro, esta compilación con CONTROLLED BLEEDING, RANDY GREIF, JOHN WIGGINS, POTTER/LEMOS, MAYBE MENTAL, CROINERS, J. GREINKE Y TIM STORY, toda una suerte de artistas americanos que trabajaron fuerte en la electrónica experimental.

No os voy a dejar mis impresiones acerca de la compilación, entre otras cosas porque apenas la he escuchado, salvo la primera oída en compañía de mi querida amiga, pero obviamente he de darle más momentos, porque lo merece.
