Matt Heckert ha trabajado como artista de performance y sonido desde 1978. En los años 80 trabajó como uno de los directores de Survival Research Laboratories construyendo robots y diseñando bandas sonoras para performances y cine. En 1989 comenzó a trabajar en Mechanical Sound Orchestra, grupo de instrumentos de sonido mecánicos controlados por ordenador, que ha presentado en Estados Unidos y en Europa desde entonces, trabajando solo y en colaboración con otros.

Lo que os ofrezco es el CD que se editó del VHS que estoy buscando y que os compartiré cuando lo consiga. De momento, a disfrutar de su sonido.

Inauguramos el año con excelsa música electrónica experimental. Os presento la segunda parte de la compilación INSOMINA gestada por nuestro protagonista de estos días, el sello estadounidense WE NEVER SLEEP. En esta ocasión se reúnen pocos grupos, pero no por ello resulta menos interesante. Nombres como MATT HECKERT, GREATER THAN ONE, HUNTING LODGE, HUMAN HEAD TRANSPLANT conforman esta compilación que irá muy bien para alumbrar el nuevo ciclo. Como dato, decir que mi pista preferida es "Hear You Knockin" de Hunting Lodge. Otro dato: atención a los créditos, mirad los nombres con detenimiento.
