WET DREAMS va creciendo en número de miembros de la plantilla y también en número de seguidores. Ambas cosas me honran pero más aún cuando los seguidores se convierten en colaboradores. Este es el caso de RUI CARVALHEIRA, que se ha ofrecido a pasarnos material digno de ser compartido en éste, vuestro blog. La verdad es que ha empezado con mucha fuerza, habida cuenta de que el material que os presento es auténtico oro puro.

Se trata de una compilación titulada VERTIKAL - HORIZONTAL SYMPHONIES, editada por el gran sello FUSION D.E. PRODUCCIONES, en formato cassette y en el año 1986. Si los ingredientes base ya son impresionantes (buen sello, formato cassette, año de oro para la electrónica creativa), los integrantes de semejante documento son de orgasmo: AVANT-DERNIÈRES PENSÉES, LÍNEA TÁCTICA, COMANDO BRUNO, PRÓTESIS MOLECULAR, FERNANDO MATAMOROS, ANA SANZ, AZTEC AIRLINES. ¿Cómo se os ha quedado el cuerpo? A mi se me quedo de piedra pómez cuando vi el listado de esta compilación que desconocía, pero se me acabó de endurecer todo cuando escuché los extasiantes temas que la componen.

No os digo más, sólo quiero reiterar el agradecimiento a RUI CARVALHEIRA por esta magna aportación que hará las delicias de muchos en este largo fin de semana en que celebramos el 523 aniversario de las infames invasiones, saqueos, violaciones y otras atrocidades que les propinamos a las civilizaciones americanas. Aprovechad y sanead vuestras mentes con esta obra maestra.

Hago un inciso y os presento un directo de EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN, un grupo del que hemos hablado poco en este blog y que merece toda nuestra atención como buenos divulgadores de las mieles del sonido industrial. Se trata de un concierto llevado a cabo el 20 de enero de 1985 y editado en formato cassette por los mismos E.N. Thelema ‎– Rosa + Croce (Not On Label, Cassette, 1985) (MP3)

The origins of a music group are always wrapped up by legends or strange stories.
This is not the case for Thelema.
In fact, the group formed in the most normal fashion in the winter of 1984 in Italy when Massimo Mantovani former BLOUSONS NOIRS, bass player Giorgio Parmigiani ex THROBS OF PLEASURE and Gregorio Bardini ex T.A.C. Gave life to the band inspired by Aleister Crowley's ideas, philosophy and esoteric work, calling it Thelema.
The first urgency was to find a drummer and find him in Marco Bucciarelli. With this first line-up composing the first tracks. Surely influenced by the dark-wave and post-punk English of the time, they still managed to give their own soundtrack to their songs, where an important tribal mix between bass and battery created the rhythmic rug for electric guitar harmonies and keyboards , All overwhelmed by vocal melodies that are not always sung, but also screamed. The live debut dates back to November 1984 in Ostiglia (Mantova) in which they played their full repertoire of then. They made a first demo-tape called The Golem and the fall of the dying gods containing 5 tracks and in the b side a bout of that concert. In December of the same year they recorded the first single Rosa Alchemica that came out in the early months of 1985 along with the Fanzine Signal by Sandro Bergamo for Edizioni Lumiere. Reviews on specialized magazines and fanzines were unanimously positive, and Thelema also started a steady live business.
Again in 1985 Massimo and Gregorio incised a ribbon of ritual music called Rosa † Cross, whose first 93 copies were numbered in gold. The first public consents, especially locally, took them to the studio to record other new songs.

AbRAXAS – Hexe (Label Enlightenment Communications, CASS, 1993) (MP3)

Abraxas released one demo, then renamed to the more widely-associated Endvra (Ontario Blue Collar project, if that name is for someone closer). This demo probably contains the same material, or slightly different from Endvr's debut "Dreams of Dark Water". The weather is fine, although I personally prefer the Black Eden. For those who do not associate at all - this is a duet from England making ritual dark ambient.

Stephen Pennick and Christopher Walton were formerly known as Abraxas but changed to Endura and reworked part of their Hexe cassette to produce the Dreams of Dark Waters CD (1994 Nature & Art). This has been followed by contributions to a number of compilations and three other CD albums. Currently, Stephen is pursuing a solo project, Ontario Blue, and the duo run their own tape label, Enlightenment Communications.

AbBRAXAS was the original name of the duo later known as Endvra. This was the original version of a work from which elements were taken and expanded into Dreams of Dark Waters; released initially on Nature and Art, and then by Red Stream as one half of the Elder Signs double CD.

Premature Ejaculation ‎– Death Cultures (CASSETTE C-60, 1987, FLAC)

Premature Ejaculation was an experimental noise project started in 1981 by Rozz Williams and Ron Athey. With no musical equipment, they made raw experiments with household objects and lo-fi devices. Alhough they did not release any recordings (mostly due to bad experiences with record labels that Williams had with his other band Christian Death), they did perform live and were featured in a photo article in Michael Gira's No magazine. Athey later left and became a respected performance artist. Premature Ejaculation continued, however, with Williams being joined by Lee Wilds. Williams also began collaborating with Chuck Collison and Kris Fuller on installations credited to The Happiest Place On Earth. When Wilds left the project, Collision came on board as a group member, and with this came a greater use of electronic equipment, and better recording facilities. Premature Ejaculation also started to document their recordings as Collision started the cassette label The Happiest Place On Earth (later changed to The Happiest Tapes On Earth). They were also included on the American Gothic compilation LP and a friend of the group started the label Baader-Meinhof to release their first LP. With wider recognition, other releases on various labels followed, though live performances became less common. In latter years, performances would often include other collaborators, such as Erik Freeman and Erik Christides. 
Rozz Williams died in 1998.

Recupero esta excelente recopilación internacional de cuatro proyectos sonoros de electrónica experimental: COMANDO BRUNO, PAX ROMANA, ENHANTA BODLER, IRRITANT. No está en un formato ideal (mp3 a 192) pero menos es nada y os aseguro que se escucha muy bien. Desconozco el año del lanzamiento de esta joya sonora, pero lo que sí os puedo asegurar es que me ha hecho pasar muy buenos momentos desde que la descubrí. Nueve temazos para desintoxicarse de la mierda con que nos intentan alienar.

Dos obreros del sonido electrónico británico: PAUL SHORTHOUSE Y ROBERT LAWRENCE, se juntaron bajo el sello QUICK STAB para lanzar esta única cassette bajo el nombre MACHINES AT LAST, una cinta de electrónica underground realizada con sintetizadores, cajas de ritmo, piano... y casiotones. 
Las pistas 1-5 fueron grabadas el 27 y 28 de agosto de 1982. La pista 6 fue grabada el 22 de septiembre de 1982. Todas las pistas de la cara B fueron grabadas a principios de octubre de 1982. 
Experimental "ma non troppo". No os la perdáis.

A mi parecer, les falta la frescura de los 80 y les sobra un poco de aburguesamiento sonoro, pero es sólo mi opinión. Aún así, me encantan.

Sea como fuere, nos dejaron un legado que a día de hoy podemos seguir saboreando a placer.

Buscando la compilación VITA NOVA INTERNACIONAL, he dado con información de un viejo grupo electrónico de Bélgica que me dio muy buenos ratos en mis años mozos y del que no tenía más que una cassette en bastante mal estado. He recurrido a mi fuente habitual de sonidos gloriosos para hacerme con todo lo que hicieron los VITA NOCTIS en la majestuosa década de los 80, aquellos años en los que se parió música electrónica atemporal, como la que los hermanos KIPS hacían con sus cajas de ritmos, sus sintetizadores y la voz a veces fría, a veces cálida y en ocasiones sensual, aunque siempre interesante de MARTINE GENYN, una gozada para nuestros oídos y nuestras neuronas. De momento os presento ésta, su magnífica primera cassette editada por ellos mismos en 1984. Próximamente os ofreceré su segunda cassette y su únco EP editado en años sucesivos.
