Various - Danza Meccanica - Italian Synth Wave 1982 - 1987 (Mannequin ‎– MNQ 005 CD, In The Night Time ‎– NT012, CD COMPILATION, 2009) (FLAC)

A petición popular, repongo esta recopilación fechada en 2009 y que recoge algunas obras de grupos italianos ochenteros de lo que actualmente se ha dado en llamar "Dark Synth Wave" o lo que es lo mismo: Tecno oscuro.

Buenos temas, sintetizadores por todas partes y excelente producción, todo ello para amenizar estas jodidas jornadas de cuarentena que nos esperan.

Dada la naturaleza y el estilo de esta recopilación, me permito dedicar este post a mi hermano de blog Chorbyradio.

Collection of early Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) live 79 / 80 (Flac)

RE-SUBO ESTE MATERIAL CUYOS LINKS ESTABAN CAÍDOS.

Formed in Liverpool with Paul Humphreys (synthesizers) and Andy McCluskey (vocals and bass guitar). They played their first gig in 1978 at Eric's (Liverpool), then had a run of UK chart hits after swapping labels from Factory to the Virgin owned label DinDisc starting with the 1980 release 'Messages'.
Although Humphreys left the group in 1989, McCluskey made a comeback in 1991 with the UK top 5 'Sailing On The Seven Seas', and followed that up with a UK top 3 Album 'Sugar Tax' before finally calling it a day in 1996.
In 2007 they toured together again featuring the classic line-up of Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Malcolm Holmes and Martin Cooper and released a live-album in 2008: 'OMD Live: Architecture & Morality & More'. September 2010 saw the release of History Of Modern featuring the original classic line-up.

This is my favorite OMD recording (in terms of performance and sound quality) and want to share the version I edited. The original version I obtained from http://omdweb.com/downloads/, although it sounded good, suffered of clipping. I tweaked this and other things. This is listed ad August 12, 1980 on http://www.omd-live.com/liverecordings19781983.htm but I think it's from December as on December 10 and 12 they played on the Netherlands. In the site http://www.omd.me.uk/webpages/OMD%20Gigography.htm, the date is marked 1980-12-00.

FACTOR X - TUBEWAY ARMY (Anachronismus ‎– AT-15 , Cassette, 1993) (WAV)

factor X was one of Shaun Robert's pseudonyms/projects/aliases.
factor X founded by Shaun in 1983 as a conceptual idea. The first output was anti musik and then moved to rough collage.
factor X ended in 1994.

Shaun Robert (b. 1966, Brixham, Devon, England) started recording and making music since the age of 8 using tape machines by utilizing the pause button, crash editing sounds together. This was not seen as form of art, more of a way to understand and adapt the world around him. Using a catalogue of pseudonyms to do various projects, these creative outings became more and more like imaginary friends, coloring things with a rainbow of the mind’s eye.

Released from my old buddy Axel Ellinger on his Anachronismus Label.

The sound of this tape is a mixture of weird samples in the style of the Schimpfluch label from Switzerland. factox works also together with artists from this label like Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck or
Sudden Infant.

ESPLENDOR GEOMÉTRICO - EN ROMA ( EGK ‎– EGK 009, Cassette, Numbered, C46, 1986) (FLAC)

Muchas personas asiduas a este blog me han pedido que suba de nuevo este material y aquí lo tenéis, pero ahora en formato FLAC.

Se trata de una actuación del grupo en el Aula Magna de la Universidad de Roma el 24 de Marzo de 1986 que fue organizada por Saverio Evangelista, quien más tarde pasaría a ser miembro oficial del grupo, en el marco de unas jornadas destinadas a analizar la relación entre la arquitectura y estética industriales por un lado y los esquemas repetitivos y maquinales de la música industrial por otro. En la cara A se advierte ya el siguiente paso en la evolución del sonido de EG, en temas nuevos como "Allo Terre?" o "Trybuna Robotnicza I", dotados de una mayor definición rítmica, basada en la utilización de potentes ritmos 4/4. Los temas ya publicados en anteriores trabajos son reproducidos en unas versiones prácticamente idénticas a las originales. La versión de estudio de "Trabajo y vigilancia", publicada originalmente en 1983 en la recopilación internacional "Neuengamme", aparecería más adelante en "Diez años de Esplendor" y "Tarikat".
