Hago un paréntesis para reponer la serie de compilaciones tituladas IT'S MY (THE) AGE del sello COMPACT CASSETTE ECHO. Como os dije en su día, se trata de una serie de 9 cassettes, pero por el momento sólo hemos conseguido los números 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7. Veremos si sigue la racha y conseguimos las 1 - 8 - 9 para completar la colección.
En este segundo volumen de la serie hay un poco de todo: electrónica underground, punk, rock, sonido experimental... Echadle un ojo al elenco de artistas.

Siguiendo con el especial que le dedicamos al sello LES NOUVELLES PROPAGANDES, vamos a ver un proyecto paralelo de PHILLIPE ESCARTIN que tuvo a su lado a TIBURCE, de ahí el nexo entre ambos grupos. LA NOMENKLATUR ya los hemos visto por aquí en otras ocasiones, con su propuesta electrónica industrial de gran calidad. Éste fue su primer trabajo y se editó bajo el gran sello LES NOUVELLES PROPAGANDES allá por 1986, época dorada para la generación ochentera del sonido industrial.

MINAMATA - MIT LAUTEM GESCHREI (New Wave Records ‎– NW 008, CASSETTE C-46, 1984) (MP3 256)

MINAMATA es un legendario grupo industrial francés, su nombre prestado de la ciudad japonesa, en la que en 1954 hubo un importante accidente tecnológico causando una grave contaminación. El proyecto apareció a mediados de los años 80 y se desarrolló en formato trío durante una serie de años. Su planteamiento radical y provocativo sólo podía competir con LE SYNDICAT. Pero entonces el creador del grupo (TIBURCE) despidió a los miembros restantes y siguió grabando música en solitario bajo el nombre de LA NOMENKLATUR. Algunos discos de MINAMATA y LA NOMENKLATUR se publicaron en su propio sello, LES NOUVELLES PROPAGANDES, siendo su álbum más famoso LA LEGENDE DE VOIX, grabado en 1986 y reeditado por ANT ZEN. 

En 2002 Tiburce decidió resucitar su antiguo proyecto e incluso dieron un concierto en 2007. En 2008 la etiqueta NUIT & BROUILLARD lanzó el CD NIIGATA reedición de la tercera cinta grabada y editada en 1985. El secreto del patrimonio material de MINAMATA es su sonido industrial de la vieja escuela con una gran presencia de percusión metálica y voces agónicas distorsionadas.

Y en 2009 salió a la luz el nuevo material de audio y video que el grupo MINAMATA presentó en el último festival del programa TONWELLEN KONFERENZ 2 en Burscheid (Alemania), que también contó con artistas de culto como HIJOKAIDAN, WHITEHOUSE, SATORI, IRIKARAH, ATROX, FLUTWACHT, CODE 243 y N.STRAHL.N.

Minamata disease - a syndrome caused by methylmercury poisoning. It was first discovered in Japan in the eponymous city in 1956. Symptoms include dysmotility, paresthesia in the extremities, weakened vision and hearing, and in severe cases - paralysis and impaired consciousness, ending with a fatal outcome. The cause of the disease served as the company extended release "Chisso" in the water Minamata Bay mercury that benthic organisms in its metabolism transformed into methylmercury. The history of this disease is largely metaphorical and characterizes all of the state of contemporary socio-economic system. How many man-made disasters, Minamata disease long ignored - until today. Trying to draw attention to this problem, a French musician and videoartist Philip Eskartan released the first album of Minamata in 1984, and since then has become synonymous imyaya project, a kind of symbol of the absurdity and outrageous indifference prevailing in the relations between industry, nature and society. "Cyclator" - this kind of structure, supposedly invented to purify water in Minamata Bay. After long conversations and assurances by the Government found that it was just another bluff. The number of victims of environmental disasters is growing every day, but none of their problems by and large do not care. The scope of self-titled album, in addition to CD-ROM also includes a DVD with videos and concert recordings. Stylistically, this power-electronics of the old school - a rebellious, uncompromising, brutal and aggressive.

Mientras consigo material de varios sellos de sonido industrial como Trumpett, propongo hacer un especial sobre LES NOUVELLES PROPAGANDES, el insigne sello francés que tanto dió a la edad de oro del sonido industrial y que fue fundado durante los años ochenta para editar grabaciones de Minamata y otros proyectos de sus miembros. 

Para empezar, os presento una compilación internacional editada por el sello EUROPA pero distribuida por LNP. El tracklist es sublime, habida cuenta de gloriosos nombres que en ella se reúnen: CONTROLLED BLEEDING, CLUB MORAL, A.I.Z., NON TOXIQUE, VOX POPULI!, LA NOMENKLATUR, LE SYNDICAT, entre otros muchos. Una de esas cassettes que pasaron desapercibidas tras el paso de los años y que queremos recuperar en WET DREAMS después de la desaparición del material que fue colgado inicialmente en 2017.

Texto del blog "Cau".

Compilación de sonidos electrónicos con tintes experimentales procedente de los Países Bajos, compuesto por bandas que formaron parte de la movida alternativa de aquella época. Aquí tenemos una pequeña representación de lo que significó la "democratización" del sonido en los inicios de los ochenta, aunque se realizaran un total de 650 copias de esta cassette (500 en la primera edición de 1982 con una portada ligeramente distinta y 150 de la segunda edición en 1983); en este álbum podremos escuchar auténticas joyas del sonido vanguardista con nombres como Van Kaye & Ignit, The Actor, Doxa Sinistra, Ende Shneafliet, De Fabriek y un larguísimo etcétera. En 1999, la misma discográfica Trumpett (pincha aquí para acceder a su web) reeditó en doble CD esta pequeña joya del sonido abstracto, con un audio notablemente mejorado por supuesto. Salut.

Quisiera iniciar una serie de posts dedicados a TRUMPETT,  un sello pionero en electrónica experimental, fundada en Heiloo, Países Bajos, el 24 de abril de 1981 por el dr. Trumpetto y dr. Zivago. Sede fija de proyectos tan insignes como THE ACTOR, ENDE SHNEAFLIET, DOXA SINISTRA y ocasionalmente fue residencia de DR. C. STEIN y ANDRÉ DE KONING.

Lo que os presento hoy tiene 40 años. Fechado en 1981, esta cassette THE 4TH DIMENSION recoge 16 temas gestados por dos proyectos hermanos (por no decir siameses) llamados FREAKOWITZ y EINSTEIN, cuyo sonido se basa principalmente en el tratamiento de la voz (vocoders por un tubo) y mucha experimentación sobre cuerdas (bajo, guitarra). No faltan los sintetizadores, pero aquí adquieren un plano secundario.

Vamos a ver si consigo más material de TRUMPETT para compartirlo por aquí, porque creo que dejaron un gran legado sonoro.
