SIEGMAR FRICKE - 1987 (Hahamandad - HA012, C60, 1990 | DIGITAL REMASTER 2014)

Our "disko boy" Siegmar Fricke remastered another old cassette solely for WET DREAMS. (Thank you Siegmar!)
"1987" was recorded on magnetophon with the use of Yamaha keyboard and Yamaha sampler, furthermore, originally released on Hahamandad label held by Dutch Messy and Amanda Man "Amy" in 1987 on C-60.
Also worth noting is that Hahamandad label has hosted a big tape festival in 1990 in Ternuezen where then-22-year-old Siegmar had his debut which you can see below....

You can download this video HERE on official PHARMAKUSTIK Vimeo.

Although the track on the video is dated 1990 (not available on the 1987 tape), it's still important documentation which testifies the gathering of great underground musicians like factor X, Beurk, M.I.Dotan, Bram D, Dva Met Dva Nichts & PDM, Nostalgie Eternelle, From Nursery To Misery, Das Freie Orchester, Marilyn's Army, Grey Wolves, Contact T.B.D., Harald 'Sack' Ziegler, Beequeen, Selfs Without Shells and Dark Star performing and selling their tapes...

Funny or not, I surely couldn't resist moving my feet to the beat! Again!

DOWNLOAD.

Various ‎- Beton-Werk I (Beton Tapes - BT71, cass, 1993)

Hamburg based cassette label led by Alexander Pohle (Awake At The Wall, Mururoa Radio Wavers) in the 90s.

"Beton Tapes was formed in 1990, and ran by Alexander Pohle who now does the minimal label NLW, along with the Back Again zine (amongst other things). He also had another tape label called Gorkon Recordings in the 90s too. If the label's catalog numbers are correct, Beton put out well over 100 cassettes, though I have only been able to uncover maybe around 50-60 of these." -sorrow-vomit

Radio Diffusor Maracaibo - Radio Diffusor Maracaibo (Corrosive Tapes ‎- C015, c30, 1988)

The project is from Germany and is out on Belgian Corrosive Tapes. I always connect Radio Diffusor Maracaibo with Czech due it's involvement with Czech(oslovakian) projects either as being on Frankfurt/Praha compilation either as collaboration with Odvážná Srdce.
Comes in jewelcase with several B/W xeroxed photographs by Tobias Regenfuss inside.

Thank you, Phillip B. Klingler!

SIEGMAR FRICKE - Absurdisco93 (NOT ON LABEL | DIGITAL COMPILATION 2014)

I suggest you to grab your dancing shoes and to get your ass on the dancefloor!

The unreleased 8 trax by Siegmar Fricke are remastered to best quality from original 4 track mastertapes (1992-'93) and they are available for the first time on WET DREAMS! It is clear Siegmar has been the "disco boy" within the whole period of creating around 25 "pop"-tapes under "Siegmar Fricke" from '86-'93 (among all the other sideprojects like Doppelwirkung or DSIP). The gear he used at that time is a 4 track cassette-recorder, Korg DW-6000 synthesizer, multi-effector, Korg DDD-5 drummachine, Roland S-10 sampler, Crumar Bit One-Analoguesynth and Solton Programmer 24.

'One of the more comprehensive of the earlier tape samplers that eMpTy released, back when eMpTy was still conceived of as the experimental label of Doc Wör Mirran and not really a punk label. This series of eight, one hour long cassette samplers featured some of the more renowned industrial and experimental artists of the late 1980s, making it one of the highlights of the cassette scene of that time. The cover was conceived as a puzzle, with the picture first complete when all eight covers where put together in a particular order. All tapes limited to 100 copies only.'

Lieutenant Caramel - La Nana (Ache AAP07-CC, 1990)

Lieutenant Caramel, French experimental artist Philippe Blanchard (born May 24, 1961 in Mayet, France) composes music in his Studio Acteon, now Studio Forum in Annecy. He defines himself as a hunter of sounds, and collects material from his different journeys (Syria, Iran, Roma, Venice, Madrid, Samarkand...).
Caramelos has won awards from several international competitions: GMEB in Bourges, France, the Luigi Russolo prize in Italy, Radio France, La Muse in Circuit (Mauricio Kagel prize), CIMES-FICS in Prague. He received the Radio France International award "Hunters of sounds" in 2000 for "Captain Cook".
He's the founding member of the Noise of Snow Festival in Annecy, as well as being the part of direction, since 2010 and jury of thLuigi Russolo International Sound Art Competition - competition for the best electro-acoustic composition founded in 1979.
Some of his collaborations include Denier Du Culte, Pacific 231, Victor Nubla, Kommissar Hjuler Und Frau and others.
Unique sounds he creates are inspired by futurism, musique concrete, electro-acoustic music...
Blanchard samples Joseph Beuys social sculpture 'Ja Ja Ja Ne Ne Ne' on the opening track 'Hommage au feutre'. As for my personal impression, vocals on 'Toiles de mer' overwhelmed with hysteria depict the spoiled gypsy kiddo from Budapest ghetto whose main occupation is to wake me up every morning with his endless cries...

La Nana is released on Ache in Germany.

Ambulatorio Segreto - Cardiotrak / Neuroconnector (Toracic Tapes, 1990)

A collaboration named Ambulatorio Segreto is a project which constitute three marvellous musicians Siegmar Fricke from Wilhelmshaven (North West Germany), Miguel A. Ruiz from Madrid (Spain) and Stefano Barban from Cavazzale (North Italy), the trio whom we are thankful for an impressive music on k7 back in the end of 80's / early 90's as well as they all left us a great casket of tracks under different pseudos (either as solo projects and collaborations). Their nine?+ cassettes were released on Toracic Tapes and Bestattungsinstitut and two of them I've heard so far differ from each other a lot.
In short, Cardiotrack / Neuroconnector is a smooth electronic release permeated with emphasized funky beats, vocal samples and a sufficient dose of gloom that was mixed in Toracic Studio (Madrid) in September. For an unknown reason I felt enormous pleasure listening to it in a car at night as an intro to another release I like to call it's younger fraternal twin - Alaska Show by Doc Wor Mirran and De Fabriek.

play loud!
