Hace un rato he recibido, We Transfer mediante, un link de descarga con este material de ENRICO PIVA, alma máter de AMOK (que estábamos escuchando hace unos días. El remitente del envío firma como "Anónimo" y me pide encarecidamente que comparta esta cassette en éste, vuestro blog.

Realmente es digno de ser compartido por aquí, habida cuenta del excelso trabajo que realizó en su día este gran investigador sonoro y que fue editado por el sello ibérico EGK. El sonido podría definirse como experimentación sobre voces y grabaciones de campo, samplers, sonidos industriales y mucha imaginación. El resultado me parece impresionante, en ocasiones te remite a los mejores momentos de la "spoken music" o a los experimentos sonoros de LAURIE ANDERSON y sus violines electromagnéticos, sus reminiscencias industriales me han llevado a recordar pasajes de VIVENZA o MAURIZIO BIANCHI, por poner solo un par de ejemplos. Sea como fuere, es un trabajo que merece constar en WET DREAMS, tanto como en vuestras colecciones, así que... a descargarlo y...

T.A.G.C. - Meontological Research Recording - Record 1 - MP3 320

The original idea for the Anti Group was devised by Adi Newton and Steven James Turner as early as 1978, with the intention of the formation of a multi-dimensional research & development project active in many related areas. 
Research and development of Sound / Film / Video / Performance and the documentation of each project was the fundamental "Modeus Operandi". 
Underlining this basic idea lays the deeper philosophical and theoretical; The first non theoretical action devised by TAG was the Film "The Delivery", a 16mm triptych projection and soundtrack, and the Anti theatre performance "The Discussion" designed for five tape recorders and multi-video projection systems. These two works were first presented at the "De Doelen" center in Rotterdam on Saturday, September 22nd, 1985. "The Delivery" has been exhibited at the "2nd Atonal Festival" in "The Ballhaus Tiergarten" Berlin, Feb 18th 1985 where the soundtrack was recorded on a mobile 24 track system. This document was released as "T A G* - The Delivery" on Atonal Records. 

After these initial performances TAG concentrated on Audio development. it was during this period 1985 to 1987 that the above recordings were realized along with the highly acclaimed Ambisonic Album "T • A • G • C* - Digitaria" which is a Technological and Ethnological work based on the ideas of the Sabean cults of ancient Khem and the Dogon tribe of Mali. Having worked through these areas, it became the next logical step to move into the application of Psychophysics developing the use of frequencies and Psychoacoustics with computer aided technology. Performance of these ideas took place at the 3rd Atonal Festival at "Alte TU-Mensa, Berlin" on December 13th, 1986 and "SO 36" Berlin on Feb 14th 1987 and at the "Museum of Contemporary Art" Prato, Italy on Sept 23rd 1988. It was at this time also that TAG displayed their first Meontological visual experiment "Burning Water". The recordings utilized in these performances were released as part of a series of recordings entitled Meontological Research Recordings 1 + 2. 
"Burning Water" has been finalized for release in CD/Video formats. TAG performances were held at the Electro-Acoustic Music Academy Stockholm, August, 23rd 1990 and at the ARS Electronica symposium on Virtual Reality held in Linz, Austria on September 8th, 1990. 

In preparation are Meontological Research Recordings 3 + 4. Recording 3 explores the central ideas expressed in the Coulier Noire and recording 4 centers around the current research project into the development of methods and techniques to aid expanded consciousness in collaboration with R.E.S.T., SpaceTimeTanks and Relaxation Center Chicago, America. 
The Anti Group have recently started to return to the Arena after a number of years researching and experimenting with different medias and theoretical concepts, currently working on a number of new releases, and have recently contributed an abridged research document and sound piece for the 3rd issue of Antibothis Magazine.

En los próximos siete días voy a ofreceros una auténtica joya de la que no hay noticias ni siquiera en San Discogs. Se trata de una serie de compilaciones internacionales editadas por el sello holandés ZIMBO TAPES y orquestada por JOHN DE PAGTER, alma máter del sello y de SEVENTH DIMENSION QUASETTE, que es como se llama la serie de cintas. Podría poneros los links de las siete cassettes en un solo post, pero creo que es un material suficientemente delicado y adictivo como para que lo degustéis poco a poco.
En este primer volumen encontramos trabajos de: NUMBER ONE, NIEK V.D. BURGT, HAGS, HENRI VAN ZANTEN, D.O.C., RANDOM CONFUSION y GOATCOAT.

SOLANACEAE TAU - VOICE OF THEATRE (NIHILISTICK NOISE 04, CASSETTE C-60, LIMITED EDITION, 1987) (MP3 224)

Mientras intentamos localizar la primera cassette (parece que se resiste) de SOLANACEAE TAU, vamos con la segunda, una cinta de auténtico Tecno-Pop underground, sonidos sintéticos con mucho collage. Texturas y atmósferas industriales conviven codo con codo con temas que bien hubieran podido sonar en cualquier FM de los 80. No en vano contiene un tema llamado precisamente "Tekno Pop", toda una declaración de intenciones. Creo que vais a disfrutar este trabajo de este grupo alemán, salvo a aquellos que no gusten de saborear los sonidos electrónicos de sintetizadores, cajas de ritmo y algún que otro Casiotone.

Por cierto, pongo la portada del CDR que editó el propio grupo en los años 2000 porque la portada de la cassette está complicada de localizar.

El seguidor de este blog STAN HENS me ha pedido una serie de materiales que en lo sucesivo voy a compartir en éste, vuestro blog. Empezaremos con este proyecto llamado MIXED BAND PHILANTHROPIST, del que apenas tengo información, salvo los datos que aparecen en san Discogs en que informan de que sus fundadores fueron ALLAN ZANE, D. LUCAS, K. JAMESON, RICHARD RUPENUS, STAN REED. Pero ante la escasez informativa, me permito transcribir un texto que he encontrado por la red de redes y que da una explicación bastante amplia sobre el proyecto y sobre este trabajo en particular:

Recorded from 1984 to 1986, The Impossible Humane is the sole album from The New Blockaders side project Mixed Band Philanthropist. Originally released on the German Selektion label in 1987 and impossible to find nowadays, Staubgold makes this rare gem of industrial-goes-musique concrète available again in a strictly limited edition of 400 copies. Furthermore, the reissue contains two bonus tracks taken from the 7" single The Man Who Mistook a Real Woman for His Muse and Acted Accordingly. The album is assembled of exclusive source material by the who's-who of the industrial music scene of the time, including contributions from Nurse With Wound, Organum, Andrew Chalk, The New Blockaders, Etant Donnes, H.N.A.S., P16.D4, Asmus Tietchens, Controlled Bleeding, Smegma, Merzbow, and many more. "A classic chunk of destroyed concrète. Assembled from a variety of musical and spoken sources, this is a nonstop barrage of genius. Filled with headsnapping changes, sexual innuendo and general confusion, it's a totally great listening experience," said The Wire. Idwal Fisher wrote: "This car-crash tape collage still stands today as one of the best examples of the genre. Its perpetual barrage of split-second samples are a dizzying mess of '60s pop songs, scrapes, industrial whirr, uncategorizeable racket, ghostly voices, electronic beebles and burrs, sped-up records, tape whizz, machine rumble, snatches of reggae, bucket damage, kazoo farts, disco spots and about three-thousand or more (I'm guessing) other samples that really shouldn't work, but, by some sleight of hand or genius, actually do. On paper, snatches of steel bands shouldn't be found on the same side of tape as Geordie MCs, Michael Jackson, pneumatic drills, early Merzbow and '50s doo wop, but here they are and it works. Totally. Then comes the added bonus of being able to listen to this to the point of ad nauseam, mainly due to the fact that there are so few reference points that every listen brings something new."

Personalmente, me ha encantado este CD que procede del LP con el mismo nombre editado en 1987. Se trata de collages sonoros muy bien trabajados, sonido altamente industrial y energía e imaginación a raudales. Me ha hecho pasar un rato magnífico.

De la reunión de dos genialidades como DAVID PRESCOTT y MINOY sólo podían salir maravillas como esta ópera en seis escenas, una preciosidad que editaron ellos mismos en 1987. Seis monumentales piezas electrónicas excelentemente trabajadas y con todos los ingredientes para pasar una hora y media de placer sonoro.

PREMATURE EJACULATION    1981-1998

The roots of Premature Ejaculation stretch as far back as 1981, when while on hiatus from Christian Death, Rozz Williams and Ron Athey began experimenting with tape loops and noise. From the onset, live events were performance art presentations that often left the audience disgusted and horrified. While the intent was to shock and throw out the rules of convention - it wasn't long before venues refused to book Premature Ejaculation.

After Rozz shelved Christian Death in 1985, he returned to the project, and continued to pursue tape manipulation and manufacturing layers of noise. He teamed himself with Chuck Collison and soon began releasing material through the independant label, Happiest Tapes on Earth, and eventually again performing live shows.

Despite Rozz's hectic schedule with touring and recording for various projects, he'd often return to Premature Ejaculation for a series of recordings, releases and performancnces. He and Chuck continued to work together into the mid-1990's.

The posthumous release "Wound Of Exit" exhibited the range Premature Ejaculation had developed over 15 years of recordings; from tape loops of household appliances to rich, full textures of sound and electronic samples.

Rozz's final recordings were completed by Chuck Collison for the Nico B. film, "Pig".

In 2009, several recordings were purchased by John Collins that contained unreleased noise material that spanned Rozz's career. As John set about laying down the foundations to bring these recordings to light, it was discovered that Ron Marrs contained an additional eight cassettes of unreleased material. Collectively, the recordings became, "Rozz Williams: The Lost Recordings". After being painstakingly remastered and the artwork restored to it's original designs - the material began to surface in 2010. The releases will continue into at least 2012...ensuring years of new discoveries for Rozz's fans.
